Buildertrend publishes a starting price of $499 a month with unlimited users, 10% less if you pay annually (checked October 2026). Procore is quote only: an annual fee per product based on your construction volume, also with unlimited users. For a small home builder, Buildertrend is usually the cheaper of the two.
Buildertrend is built for US home builders, remodelers and specialty contractors, with scheduling and client communication at its core. Procore is built for commercial general contractors running large projects with many parties, where documents, RFIs and collaboration matter most.
Buildertrend integrates with QuickBooks Online and Xero. Procore has a QuickBooks Online connector, a Xero connector and integrations with ERP systems.

Contractors with subcontract-heavy jobs who do not want Procore pricing often add a cost control tool on top of their accounting system.
Yes. Planyard connects to Procore from the Essential plan and runs alongside Buildertrend, with approved costs syncing to QuickBooks or Xero. It covers budgets, committed costs and subcontractor bills, not scheduling or drawings.
